vs Uni at home 16/08/14
A cool morning that got colder as the day went on. The ground was very slippery after the rain over the last week—especially now that everyone wears the moulded studs. Bring back the aluminium screw ins!!
As everyone knows this was a game we wanted to win to get us into the major semi.
We had a good training session on the Thursday with good numbers but it wasn’t our day.
This was a good game to watch although there’s a belief that we shot ourselves in the foot at times.
We were up 10-8 at half time but lost 15-10.
Players points went 3 to Kane, 2 to Ryan Ellis and 1 to Mark P
I didn’t catch up with Sean to get the coaching comments or the players points. Suffice to say we lost 24-12
This was a game that we should have won comfortably and we did.
However, we lacked a bit of structure given that were some team changes.
The score was 43-7

As a PS great to see Rai Hemopo back on the park today. It won’t be long before Marshall is right. This is going to give the selectors headaches of the good kind
A convincing win for Beaches today. This was especially pleasing given that Uni were coming into the game on the back of a 90 point win last weekend.
We were up 24-0 at half time and ran away 43-0. We seemed to have too much pace for Uni and the boys are really hitting their straps.
