What a great day the weather gods turned on for us especially as it was Old Boys Day.
There wasn’t much wind to speak of and the ground was in very good nick.
Once again Lucas had good numbers to choose from.
We dominated in the first half to go in at 29-3.
We actually lost the second half but at least everyone got a run.
Overall the game was a bit scrappy but we came away with a bonus point win. We still have quite a few on the injured list and when those players come back it will help our cause.
We won 34-15.
Players points went 3 to Mitch Sheehan, 2 to Paul Elliott and 1 to Adam Jorgensen
Two wins in a row.
Everyone got a run and it was good to see such good numbers both at training and at the game.
We went in at half time leading 22-0 and ran out winners 46-19.
The belief is that we must still work on our structures.
Players points went 3 to Sam Jenkins, 2 to Zac Bryant and 1 to Karl Forbes
This was a walkover for the second week in a row.
We led 42-3 at half time and ended up posting over 70 points by full time.
It was a scrappy affair but it’s still good to get the points
A special mention to Logan who kicked 7 from 9 attempts and not all of them were from in front of the posts.
Players points went 3 to Pumps, 2 to Logan and 1 to Va.
The bottom line is that you can never be certain about how things are going to go against Lake Macquarie. We would have been a bit confident though when 3 of their Colts had to back up after playing a full game.
We fielded an unchanged side from last week and it’s good to see that players coming back from injury have to earn their spots.
So Premier 1 today saw them staring without Va, Mick and Andy Delore who all returned through Premier 2.
We seemed to play well in patches but at times we looked a bit disorganised.
Maybe though we can put this down to disruptions and late withdrawals.
We led 24-17 at half time.
Full time the score was 45-24 and another bonus point win
Players points went 3 to Lachie Waide (again) , 2 to Stoney and 1 to Jack.
